Within 30 days of moving to Georgia, you must obtain a Georgia driver’s license and a Georgia license plate for each vehicle.  With a valid, out-of-state driver’s license only the eye exam is necessary to get a Georgia license.  Otherwise the driving and written tests are required.  For registration, proof of insurance is required by Georgia law, along with current registration, title, and name/address of lien holder or a copy of lease agreement.
